For several years now already, the Berlinale’s European Film Market has been presenting screenings of selected Berlinale films at the Documentation Centre for Displacement, Expulsion, Reconciliation. This year, films from the Forum Expanded program will also be included for the first time. On 21.12., Alban Muja’s MUA BESOJ MË SHPËTOJ PORTRETI is screening together with PREKID VATRE by Jacob Krese. Muja’s work celebrated its world premiere at Forum Expanded in 2025. The films explore the unpleasant aftereffects of war and expulsion in the former Yugoslavia. In piercing, minimalist fashion, Muja tells the story of his father Skender, who managed to free himself from a Serbian internment camp due to his artistry. In Prekid Vatre, a survivor of the Srebrenica massacre gets the chance to have her say. (uz)
Entry to the event is free. Tickets can be booked in advance via the website of the Documentation Centre.
